    Very convincing. These are all photo models! -might be better to have "everyday" pics of Greeks to match with. -Peloponnesian war vet.

    In majority they were white as we are, they had brown long hair in sparta, and in athens they prefered short hair, but not like today like the vromokagkoures because even the short at that times, nowadays would be called long so yes in majority they had long hair. And before the battle spartans were clean, without beards and with their hair washed and taken care of. If u like greek history buy Πυλες της φωτιας(Gates of fire)and Ανεμοι πολεμου(Winds of war) for Thermopylae and peloponnesean war.

    GREEK PRINCESS is right cause if u see in the statues they would sculpture what they admire and like the most.. so dont judge from the sculptures cause do u think that they ran around naked? Nope... only in the gymonopaidies in sparta and sometimes in olympic games. And they indeed had long hair. But the things then were like today... u may see someone with curly hair another with straight another blonde another dark haired etc. They werent all the same. They were just like today.

    Hellenic the ancient Greeks usually had brown hair and that's the truth cause if u think about it when u r in the sun for a long time ur hair become lighter and ur skin darker. We werent black or something but our skin was just like now and sometimes a lil bit darker or lighter and our hair brown blonde and sometimes black. ΕΛΛΑΣ. Η ΛΥΣΗ ΕΙΝΑΙ ΜΙΑ, ΣΥΝΟΡΑ ΜΕ ΤΝ ΣΕΡΒΙΑ.     True, lets not confuse wavy, unruly hair with curls. If we do not comb my sons hair after a bath, his hair is all over the place with waves and flips(cow-licks)and "curls". Girls love it, but you can usually find me chasing him around the house trying to comb it straight. He has the most beautiful chestnut-brown hair you have seen. When bleached by the sun, it takes on another mysterious shade of brown.
